Aqua America Shareholders Re-Elect Three Directors; Board Re-Elects Chairman and a Lead Independent Director
BRYN MAWR, Pa., May 13, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Aqua America, Inc. (NYSE: WTR) announced today that at its annual meeting of shareholders, Directors Richard L. Smoot, William P. Hankowsky and Andrew J. Sordoni, III, were each re-elected to three-year terms. At the company's Board of Directors meeting, also held today, directors re-elected Nicholas DeBenedictis as Chairman; and elected Richard H. Glanton Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Board of Directors as the Board's lead independent director.
